Comprehensive Performance Evaluation Meeting Successfully Held for the National Key R&D Program's Intelligent Robotics Special Project Led by Changtai Robot

On August 13, the comprehensive performance evaluation meeting of the national key research and development plan intelligent robot project "Development of Robot Intelligent Production Lines for the Foundry Industry and Demonstration Application in the Manufacturing of Key Components of Aerospace Equipment and Engines" led by Changtai Robot was held in Changsha.

Project responsible experts Jin Yaping, researcher of Machinery Development Technology Company, and Liu Chengliang, distinguished professor of Yangtze Scholars of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, attended the meeting. At the same time, the meeting invited a review expert group composed of 7 technical experts and 2 financial experts, including professor Fan Dapeng of the National University of Defense Technology as the team leader, Wu Huaining, distinguished professor of Yangtze Scholars of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Wang Meiling, distinguished professor of Yangtze Scholars of Beijing Institute of Technology, and Chen Badong, distinguished professor of Yangtze Scholars of Xi'an Jiaotong University, to carry out comprehensive performance evaluation of the project.

At the meeting, Dr. Yang Yang, the person in charge of the first topic, first expressed a warm welcome to the participating experts on behalf of the project leading unit, and explained the project management method of Changtai Robot as the project organization and management unit during the project execution period, and introduced the results achieved by the project. The review expert group carefully listened to the reports on the completion of the project objectives, main results, and funding implementation of the five topics of the project. After questioning and discussion by the expert group, the expert group unanimously agreed that all topics of the project had passed the comprehensive performance evaluation. Project responsibility experts Researcher Jin Yaping and Professor Liu Chengliang each expressed their opinions, saying that the organization of the project comprehensive performance evaluation meeting complied with the work specifications of the Ministry of Science and Technology. They hoped that each project topic would be improved and optimized according to the opinions of the review experts, and the final acceptance of the project would be successfully completed. Finally, the project leader, Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor Li Hanxiong, expressed his gratitude to the review experts for their professional comments on behalf of the project team, and hoped that the project members would continue to work hard to elevate the project results to a higher level.

This project is led by Changtai Robot and jointly undertaken by eight industry-university-research advantage units that have long been engaged in the development and application of robots and casting technology, including Central South University, Beijing Aerospace Control Instrument Research Institute, Weichai Power Co., Ltd., Shanghai Aerospace Precision Machinery Research Institute, Hunan University, Changsha University of Science and Technology, Hunan University of Science and Technology, and Foshan Institute of Science and Technology. It was officially launched in June 2019 and will be fully completed by May 2022.

Before the meeting, the expert group visited the research and development site of Changtai Robot Project. The meeting was chaired by Gao Di, Chairman of Changtai Robot, and members of the project team of the consortium unit attended the meeting.
