Why Are the Leading Media All Focusing on This Company?

Release date: 2018-06-07

To showcase Hunan’s achievements in intelligent manufacturing at home and abroad, the “Intelligent Manufacturing: Look to Hunan” themed press program for Hong Kong media, hosted by the Information Office of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government and the Hong Kong Federation of Journalists, was recently launched. As Hunan’s designated robotics industrialization demonstration base, Changtai Robot was named a key subject for coverage.

On the afternoon of June 4, a press delegation of more than 30 journalists from Hong Kong’s mainstream media visited the company. Accompanied by Gao Di, Deputy General Manager of Changtai Robot, they toured the company showroom, viewed its promotional film, and visited the intelligent manufacturing workshop to see Hunan’s intelligent manufacturing at first hand.

Guided by Made in China 2025, intelligent manufacturing programs on the mainland are focused closely on critical stages within key manufacturing sectors. By 2025, intelligentization is expected to be fully realized across those sectors, with management costs for pilot demonstration projects halved and both production cycle times and defect rates expected to fall by half as well. With the Belt and Road Initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development strategy now being implemented, new opportunities are emerging for deeper cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong. This program will help advance technical cooperation between the two in robotics and intelligent manufacturing and raise the international profile of Hunan’s intelligent manufacturing industry.

Ten of Hong Kong’s mainstream media outlets took part in the coverage, including Wen Wei Po, Ta Kung Pao, Phoenix Television, China News Service, China Radio International, China Daily, Hong Kong Commercial Daily, Bauhinia Magazine, The Mirror, and Yuan News.

Around the same time, a crew from Hunan’s Politics and Law Channel filmed and reported on site at the Changtai Robot workshop, with Deputy General Manager Gao Di introducing the company.
