Zhongnan Intelligent Speaks at Provincial State-Owned Enterprise Informatization Conference

On September 21, the 2018 conference on advancing informatization at Hunan’s provincially supervised state-owned enterprises, held together with an accompanying training session, convened in Changsha. Attendees included Wang Xujun, Director of the Information Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and Cong Peimo, Director and Deputy Party Secretary of the Hunan Provincial SASAC. Nearly 130 participants took part, among them heads of the Provincial SASAC’s divisions and the chairpersons, general managers, and deputy general managers responsible for informatization at provincially supervised enterprises. Four companies — Aisino, Guizhou Jishi, Zoomlion, and Zhongnan Intelligent — were invited to give presentations.

To accelerate informatization at provincially owned state enterprises, the Hunan Provincial SASAC has issued guidance on strengthening informatization work at supervised enterprises. Taking supply-side structural reform as its main line, the guidance calls for deeper integration of the internet, big data, and artificial intelligence with the real economy in order to cultivate new business models, generate new growth drivers, and create new growth. By 2020, provincially owned state enterprises are to establish informatization management systems with sound organization, supporting institutional arrangements, and coordinated business processes, progressively integrating their management information systems, core business information systems, and e-commerce systems. By 2025, they are to have largely established informatization systems characterized by mobile connectivity, big data, and intelligent decision-making.

Cong Peimo noted that informatization is an important vehicle for driving institutional change, transformation and upgrading, and management innovation at enterprises, and that informatization work must run ahead of and faster than reform itself, approached with a mindset of deepening reform. He cautioned against treating every task as equally urgent: informatization should be advanced in an orderly way, with clear priorities and an emphasis on integration. He also called for openness and inclusiveness, coordinated effort from all parties, effective use of big data, and the introduction of both expertise and investment on a basis of joint development and shared benefit.

Gao Jinrui, Executive Deputy General Manager of Zhongnan Intelligent and General Manager of Changtai Robot, gave a presentation titled “Automated, Digital, Connected, Intelligent: The Application and Realization of Intelligent Manufacturing in Industry.” Surveying the global picture in intelligent manufacturing, he set out the basic pathways for advancing intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation, together with landmark cases from Zhongnan Intelligent’s more than ten years of work in the field and the experience and strengths it has built up. He also introduced the company’s core services in industrial informatization and intelligent manufacturing. The presentation was well received and drew praise from the officials and experts present.
