On January 19, Zhongnan Intelligent held its “Dreaming Together, Striving Together” 2019 Annual Review and Awards Ceremony and 2020 Spring Festival Gala.

The event brought together three major occasions in one: the founding of the Zhongnan Intelligent Enterprise Association for Science and Technology, the 2019 Annual Review and Awards Ceremony, and the 2020 Spring Festival Gala. Employees from across the company gathered to celebrate the hard-won achievements of 2019 and to share their ambitions for carrying that momentum forward into 2020.

Innovation First: Employees Witness the Founding of the Zhongnan Intelligent Enterprise Association for Science and Technology

The people of Zhongnan Intelligent never pause in their efforts, and even as the year drew to a close and the Spring Festival approached, the company kept innovation and development front and center. The first item on the program was the founding of the Zhongnan Intelligent Enterprise Association for Science and Technology, witnessed by all employees. Zhou Houming, First-Class Inspector of the Hunan Provincial Association for Science and Technology, attended the ceremony and presented the plaque to Zhongnan Intelligent. This is the first enterprise association for science and technology in Hunan’s robotics industry, with Yang Yang, General Manager of Zhongnan Intelligent, serving as Chair of its first committee.

The Association was established at a moment when employees across the company are freeing their thinking, breaking new ground, and working toward Zhongnan Intelligent’s rapid growth, and it marks a significant milestone for the company’s more than 300 research and technical staff. The Association will play an important role in advancing the company’s technological innovation, promoting scientific and technical exchange, raising employees’ scientific literacy, recommending innovative talent, and stimulating enthusiasm for innovation and creative vitality.

Building on the Past, Looking to the Future: Learning from Outstanding Strivers

At 3:00 p.m., the 2019 Annual Review and Awards Ceremony opened, honoring the company’s outstanding teams and individual performers of the year. Liu Zheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Huasheng Group, and Xiao Qunfeng, Chief Engineer, were among those in attendance. Yang Yang, General Manager of Zhongnan Intelligent, delivered the annual work report.

A striking opening: attendees were the first to view the sample cut of the company’s new 2020 promotional film

Honorees included the leadership team of the Automotive Industry Division, which received the “General Manager’s Special Award”; the Finance, Investment and Financing Department, the Intelligent Logistics Division, and the Intelligent Welding Division, which received the “Outstanding Team Award”; Yuan Tao and Li Bo, named “Outstanding Party Members”; Ye Yanjun and seven others, named “Model Strivers”; Xiao Miao and eight others, named “Rising Strivers”; and Guo Dongni, named “Outstanding Intern.” Plaques were also presented to five employees marking five years of service, including Liu Yunyun, and three employees marking ten years of service, including Huang Zhaoxiong. The ceremony called on all Party members and employees to learn from these role models, to remain committed to innovation and hard work, and to build Zhongnan Intelligent into a world-class technology leader by the 100th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

In his report, Yang Yang noted that in 2019, guided by the company’s distinctive approach to Party building, Zhongnan Intelligent continued to expand its brand influence and posted gains across every operating indicator, with substantial growth in total order value, revenue, and profit. R&D capabilities advanced significantly: the company took on two major national projects, brought forth a series of new products and technologies, and attracted a growing number of leading scientists and engineers. For the year ahead, he said, the company will center its efforts on profitability to further strengthen its market position; use the completion of major national and key provincial and municipal research projects as the lever to further build its core R&D strength; let strategy guide the expansion of its development horizons; place capital-market preparation at the core of strengthening capital support for the business; and rely on Party building to further reinforce the foundations of its growth.

Liu Zheng extended his sincere Spring Festival wishes to all Zhongnan Intelligent employees. He praised the company’s performance in 2019 and commended the team for its ambition and determination. He added that Zhongnan Intelligent must position itself well, identify the right path, and pursue the right strategy, backed by a strong team and relentless effort, so as to seize the historic opportunities of this new era and reach still greater heights.
