Zhang Jianfei, Standing Committee Member of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Conducts Study Visit to Zhongnan Intelligent

On the morning of September 4, Zhang Jianfei, Standing Committee Member of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial SASAC, conducted a study visit to Zhongnan Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. He gave a strong endorsement of the company’s achievements since its establishment, expressed confidence in its future, and encouraged it to seize opportunities, accelerate its development, and move quickly to become stronger, better, and larger.

Accompanying the visit were Zhang Meicheng, Deputy Director of the Provincial SASAC; Liu Suyue, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yuhua District Committee and District Mayor; Guo Sijun, Standing Committee Member of the Yuhua District Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Yuhua Economic Development Zone; Zeng Hongying, Deputy Secretary of the Zone’s Party Working Committee and Director of its Management Committee; Liu Zheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Huasheng Group; and Yang Jie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Huasheng Group. Yang Yang, General Manager of Zhongnan Intelligent, gave an overview of the company.

Zhang Jianfei toured the company’s technology achievements showroom and intelligent workshop, learning in detail about its results in the independent R&D and manufacture of high-end intelligent equipment and in supporting the intelligent retrofitting and upgrading of manufacturing across key application fields including automotive, casting, civil explosives, textiles, and biopharmaceuticals.

Zhang Jianfei said he was encouraged by the condition of the company’s facilities, the entrepreneurial drive of its team, and its operating performance. He commended the company for turning its trajectory around so quickly after restructuring and praised the team. Zhongnan Intelligent, he said, has provided a successful example of institutional innovation: the medium- and long-term incentive mechanisms it has established align the interests of employees and the company, and this approach should continue to be built upon.

Zhang Jianfei noted the enormous growth potential of the intelligent manufacturing industry and expressed confidence in the company’s future, calling on it to seize opportunities, accelerate its development, and grow stronger, better, and larger. He urged the company to advance on two fronts at once — market development and product R&D. As a high-technology business in which specialists and researchers form the core of R&D, he said, Zhongnan Intelligent should receive greater support from the relevant authorities, which should grant its management team full operational autonomy and serve as the company’s quartermaster.

Zhongnan Intelligent is a provincial-level state-owned intelligent manufacturing platform established at the direction of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government and approved by the Provincial SASAC. The company has acquired 100% of the equity of Changsha Changtai Robot Co., Ltd. Centered on industrial robotics technology, it is dedicated to delivering intelligent manufacturing products and services across the full industrial chain and providing optimal intelligent solutions for a wide range of application fields. It holds 107 patents and ranked second by patent count among intelligent manufacturing enterprises in the Ministry of Science and Technology’s 2017 statistics. With 110 robotic application scenarios across 10 major categories, it has the broadest range of applications in the industry, and it has undertaken major national intelligent manufacturing projects for several consecutive years. The company serves as a Vice President unit of the China Robot Industry Alliance, the secretariat unit of the Hunan Intelligent Manufacturing Standardization Technical Committee, Hunan’s first “Industrial Robot Industry Demonstration Base,” and President Unit of the Changsha Robotics Industry Strategic Alliance.
