Application Scenarios

Focusing on the new‑energy battery PACK assembly line, the system is equipped with three types of zone‑specific automated high‑bay warehouses: a raw‑material warehouse, a semi‑finished cell warehouse, and a finished‑PACK warehouse. Automated guided vehicles (AGVs)—including under‑carriage lift AGVs and forklift‑type AGVs—are deployed to establish unmanned material‑handling and transport links between the storage facilities and the assembly line.

1. Automated storage and retrieval system for raw materials ↔ PACK assembly production line

Work orders trigger the WMS to automatically release items for outbound shipment; forklift‑type AGVs transport raw materials to a temporary storage area where manual sorting is performed; undercarriage‑type AGVs convey the materials to the packing line, and empty pallets are returned to the warehouse.

2. Automated storage and retrieval system for semi-finished battery cells ↔ Front-end cell assembly line for PACK production

Work orders trigger the WMS to automatically release items for outbound shipment, while forklift‑type AGVs deliver battery cells to the module assembly stations, and empty pallets are returned to the storage area.

3. Finished-product PACK automated storage system ↔ PACK final assembly offline inspection line

Battery assembly and inspection completed; forklift-type AGV transports finished products to the warehouse.

 

Application Results

Centered on digital twin technology, the project integrates 3D modeling, IoT sensing, and big data analytics to establish an intelligent warehouse management system that mirrors the physical facility in real time. It features an 18-meter‑high automated high‑bay warehouse, equipped with stacker cranes, conveyor‑sorting lines, and a fleet of AGVs, enabling fully unmanned material handling across the entire workflow. The WMS, ERP, and MES systems are seamlessly interconnected to facilitate inventory information sharing and dynamic scheduling optimization, while environmental sensors and fire‑protection systems provide digital monitoring of warehouse conditions. Upon completion, space utilization improves by 80%, storage capacity expands to 1,728 pallet positions, manual handling is reduced by 80%, outbound accuracy reaches 99.9%, and operational efficiency triples. The digital twin platform for the high‑bay warehouse delivers end‑to‑end scenario visualization and anomaly alerts, boosting decision‑making response times by 50% and increasing inventory turnover by 35%, thereby driving a shift in warehouse management from “experience‑driven” to “data‑driven.”
