Zhongnan Intelligent and Xi’an Heavy Machinery Group have initiated cooperative exchanges.

Recently, Xi’an Heavy Industry Equipment Manufacturing Group and Zhongnan Intelligent held a cooperation and exchange symposium in Xi’an. Attending the event were Yang Huiwu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Xi’an Heavy Industry Group; Zhang Biying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and General Manager; Yang Qianglai, Deputy General Manager; as well as Dr. Yang Yang, Chairman and General Manager of Zhongnan Intelligent; Gao Di, Director and Chairman of Changtai Robot Co., Ltd.; and Dr. Duan Xiaogang, Executive Dean of the Central Research Institute, among others.

Yang Yang outlined Zhongnan Intelligent’s development journey, technological capabilities, and product portfolio, with a particular focus on the company’s achievements and real-world case studies in AI applications and the construction of digital, intelligent production lines. He expressed anticipation that the two parties will deepen their collaboration in the field of intelligent manufacturing, share development opportunities, jointly expand market prospects, and work together to establish a benchmark for digital‑intelligent industrial cooperation.

Yang Huiwu welcomed the visit of Yang Yang and his delegation, and provided an overview of Xi’an Heavy Machinery Group, covering its corporate profile, industrial layout, and strategic plans. He noted that Zhongnan Intelligent focuses on areas such as industrial intelligent robotics, leveraging its strengths in new‑type productive forces to achieve notable results in intelligent manufacturing and the development of digital, intelligent production lines. He expressed hope that both parties would pool their respective resources and, taking intelligent manufacturing for coal‑mining equipment as a starting point, explore cooperation in technology and solutions, thereby achieving complementary advantages, mutual benefit, and win‑win outcomes, and jointly usher in a new chapter of high-quality development in the equipment-manufacturing sector.

At the symposium, the two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange, drawing on case studies of AI-driven technology transfer in manufacturing systems and focusing on areas such as precision intelligent assembly, digital twins, and intelligent control systems. Both parties agreed that the event has laid a solid foundation for deepening their collaboration. Moving forward, they will take this dialogue as an opportunity to concentrate on key domains—including the intelligent upgrading of coal-mine equipment and the application of intelligent robots—explore innovative cooperation models, accelerate the implementation of joint initiatives, and support the transformation of the equipment-manufacturing sector toward higher-end, smarter, and greener operations.
