Dr. Duan Xiaogang delivered a lecture at the Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress Deputies’ Training Program.

From April 20 to 24, the first session of the 2026 training program for deputies to the 14th Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress was held in Changsha. The training brought together a group of provincial deputies and officials from 21 cities and prefectures who are engaged in liaison work with deputies. Chen Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a mobilization speech. Dr. Duan Xiaogang, Executive Dean of the Central Research Institute of Zhongnan Intelligence, was invited to deliver a lecture on the theme “Artificial Intelligence Empowering New‑Type Productive Forces.”

Dr. Duan Xiaogang delivered an insightful and accessible presentation, covering the current state of intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital twins, embodied intelligent robots, trends in AI development, as well as Zhongnan Intelligence’s industrial strategy, research achievements, and application cases in the field of AI. His remarks were highly praised by the participants and sparked a strong response. It is reported that this five-day training program features a curriculum that addresses topics such as promoting high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, interpreting the principles of cultivating and practicing a correct view of political performance, and leveraging AI to drive new‑type productive forces. The program combines thematic lectures, case‑study discussions, and on-site learning to foster mutual exchange, cross‑learning, and the sharing of best practices.
